Perhaps more than any other stick I’ve experienced, the EloGio was a tale of two halves. Starting out with a bit of a tight draw, the flavor profile was very mild with a generic woodiness being dominant. A hint of peppery spice dips in and out to give the intro a little more diversity.

As I reached halfway, the draw began to open up and I believe I could hear angels rejoicing. The profile took on a much fuller body, letting in flavors of earth, sweet tobacco and a hint of cinnamon. At the risk of losing any credibility I probably don’t have, I swear there was also a hint of french fry thrown in here as well. I’m bracing for incoming tomato throwing.

Through to the final portion, the profile takes on a bit of a meaty note, which reminded me of the excellent Kristoff Corojo Limitada. The draw is silky at this point, allowing smoke to envelope your palate with deliciousness.
