The legendary Tatuaje Black Corona Gorda is back in the limited Melamine Jar. Originally blended in 2007 as Pete Johnson’s personal cigar, it was released the following year in ceramic jars in very limited quantities. Appearing again in an event pack with 2 other sizes, the corona gorda has been elusive for over 5 years.

History:
Blended to evoke the personal touch of a cigar that you might find in local regions – the kind of cigar that the locals roll for themselves. Pete created this to keep the tradition of handing someone a special cigar in person.

From Pete: “A great cigar that will always in my mind represent the place, the time, and the experience of the purity of the simple life. This cigar may be considered ugly by some but inside that surface roughness it contains such rich flavor and aroma. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. This is a tribute to that cigar.”

While the jars were shown off at the trade show, production of the 10,000 jars meant the cigars were delayed into 2014, although 500 bundles of the cigars appeared at retailers in the fall.

This corona gorda measures 5 5/8 by 46 and sports a covered, uncut foot and a fuma style cap.
